Before Uploading Your Application

Our application form is working, but some upload issues may occur due to old browser data, cached pages, cookies, or device/browser settings. Before uploading, please complete the browser “house cleaning” steps below.

Clearing your cache may sign you out of some websites, but it will not delete files from your computer or phone.

 

Step 1: Save and Check Your File First

 

Before clearing your browser, please make sure:

  1. Your application file is saved completely.

  2. The file name is simple.
    Example: Smith_Application.pdf

  3. Avoid special characters in the file name, such as: # % & * / \ ?

  4. Your internet connection is stable.

  5. The file type matches the allowed upload type listed on the form.

  6. The file size is not larger than the upload limit, if one is listed.

 

Step 2: Clear Your Browser Cache

Google Chrome — Computer

 

Google’s Chrome instructions direct users to open Chrome, go to the three-dot menu, choose Delete browsing data, select a time range, choose the data to remove, and then select Delete data.

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  2. Click the three dots in the upper-right corner.

  3. Select Delete browsing data.

  4. For Time range, choose All time.

  5. Check:

    • Cookies and other site data

    • Cached images and files

  6. Click Delete data.

  7. Close Chrome completely.

  8. Reopen Chrome and return to the application form.

  9. Try uploading your file again.

 

Microsoft Edge — Computer

 

Microsoft’s Edge instructions direct users to go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear browsing data, choose what to clear, select a time range, and then clear the selected data.

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.

  2. Click the three dots in the upper-right corner.

  3. Select Settings.

  4. Click Privacy, search, and services.

  5. Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.

  6. For Time range, choose All time.

  7. Check:

    • Cookies and other site data

    • Cached images and files

  8. Click Clear now.

  9. Close Edge completely.

  10. Reopen Edge and return to the application form.

  11. Try uploading your file again.

 

Firefox — Computer

 

Mozilla’s Firefox instructions direct users to open Settings, go to Privacy & Security, then clear data under Cookies and Site Data.

  1. Open Firefox.

  2. Click the menu button in the upper-right corner.

  3. Select Settings.

  4. Click Privacy & Security.

  5. Scroll to Cookies and Site Data.

  6. Click Clear Data.

  7. Check:

    • Cookies and Site Data

    • Cached Web Content

  8. Click Clear.

  9. Close Firefox completely.

  10. Reopen Firefox and return to the application form.

  11. Try uploading your file again.

 

Safari — Mac

 

Apple’s Safari instructions allow users to remove website data by going to Safari > Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data, then removing selected or all website data.

  1. Open Safari.

  2. Click Safari in the top menu.

  3. Select Settings.

  4. Click Privacy.

  5. Click Manage Website Data.

  6. Click Remove All.

  7. Confirm the removal.

  8. Close Safari completely.

  9. Reopen Safari and return to the application form.

  10. Try uploading your file again.

 

Mobile Devices

 

Safari — iPhone or iPad

Apple’s current iPhone/iPad instructions direct users to go to Settings > Apps > Safari, then select Clear History and Website Data.

  1. Open the Settings app.

  2. Tap Apps.

  3. Tap Safari.

  4. Tap Clear History and Website Data.

  5. Confirm the action.

  6. Close Safari.

  7. Reopen Safari and return to the application form.

  8. Try uploading your file again.

 

Chrome — Android

 

Google’s Android Chrome instructions direct users to open Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, choose Delete browsing data, select a duration, and delete the selected data.

  1. Open Chrome.

  2. Tap the three dots near the address bar.

  3. Tap Delete browsing data.

  4. Choose All time.

  5. Check:

    • Cookies and site data

    • Cached images and files

  6. Tap Delete data.

  7. Close Chrome.

  8. Reopen Chrome and return to the application form.

  9. Try uploading your file again.

 

Chrome — iPhone or iPad

 

Google’s iPhone/iPad Chrome instructions direct users to open Chrome, tap More, choose Delete Browsing Data, select a time range, and delete the selected browsing data.

  1. Open Chrome.

  2. Tap the three dots.

  3. Tap Delete Browsing Data.

  4. Choose All time.

  5. Check:

    • Cookies, Site Data

    • Cached Images and Files

  6. Tap Delete Browsing Data.

  7. Confirm the action.

  8. Close Chrome.

  9. Reopen Chrome and return to the application form.

  10. Try uploading your file again.

 

Step 3: Try the Upload Again

 

After clearing your browser:

  1. Return to the application page.

  2. Refresh the page.

  3. Complete the form again if needed.

  4. Upload your file.

  5. Wait for the upload to fully finish before clicking Submit.

  6. Do not close the page while the file is uploading.

 

If It Still Does Not Work

 

Please try one of the following:

  1. Use a different browser, such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.

  2. Use a desktop or laptop computer instead of a phone.

  3. Restart your device.

  4. Try a different internet connection.

  5. Rename the file using only letters, numbers, underscores, or dashes.

  6. Save the file as a PDF and try again, if PDF is accepted by the form.

  • The device you are using

  • The browser you are using

  • The file type you are trying to upload

  • A screenshot of the error message, if possible
